Discover the variety of flavors in the Tiesta Tea Discovery Sampler, from green to black teas. Learn how to use this 6-pack to find your favorites.
Quick answer
The Tiesta Tea Discovery Sampler is a low-risk 6-pack of loose leaf teas designed to help you explore diverse flavors, from green to herbal to black, without committing to a full-size bag.
What makes this sampler different
Unlike single-flavor purchases, the Discovery Sampler bundles six distinct blends so you can compare profiles side by side. This is especially useful if you're new to loose leaf tea or want to break out of a routine.
Each pouch contains enough for several cups, giving you a genuine trial without finishing a whole tin. The variety covers the spectrum from subtle green tea to bold black tea and fruity herbal blends.
Trade-offs to consider
Because the sampler is curated, you don't get to hand-pick each blend. If you already know you dislike a certain type (e.g., chamomile or black tea), you might prefer a custom selection instead.
The 6-pack format is ideal for sharing or tasting, but if you're looking for a single favorite to stock up on, you'll need to buy a full-size bag after sampling.
How to choose and use the Discovery Sampler
- Taste each tea separately: Brew each pouch one at a time using the recommended water temperature and steep time for that type (green teas at 175°F, black teas at 200°F). This lets you isolate flavors without cross-contamination. Use a notebook or app to rate each blend so you can reorder your favorites later.
- Compare side by side: After trying each tea individually, brew two contrasting styles (e.g., a green and a black) in separate cups and taste them in quick succession. This highlights the differences in body, astringency, and aroma.
- Use the sampler as a gift or starter kit: The 6-pack is compact enough to give as a present for a new tea drinker, or to keep at your desk for variety without taking up cabinet space. If gifting, pair it with a simple infuser or mug to make the experience complete.
