The smokey, toasty notes come through even without milk, which I didn't expect from an Assam. Two teaspoons in a 12oz mug steeped about four minutes gives me a solid, oaky cup that holds up all morning.
I've been drinking this every morning for a week and the oaky, toasty notes really come through without turning bitter when I forget it steeping. The smokiness is subtle, not like a lapsang, and it holds up fine with a splash of milk. For the price I'll definitely be keeping a tin of this around.
The smoky, toasty notes come through nicely without turning bitter, even when I accidentally oversteep it. Only wish the wholesale bag had a resealable top, but for the price I'm not complaining.
